Beard & Eyebrow Restoration — $2.50/graft FUE by a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon
Facial hair restoration with the same precision standard as scalp FUE. Beard fullness from $1,250 · Eyebrow restoration from $250 per brow. Northern Virginia.
- Same FUE technique as scalp restoration
- Beard: 500–1,500 grafts · single or split session
- Eyebrows: 100–400 grafts per brow · both in one session
- Angles + direction planned to match natural growth
Two procedures, one technique
Beard and eyebrow transplants use the same FUE technique as scalp hair restoration. Donor follicles are extracted from your scalp's back or sides — individually placed at precise angles, depths, and directions to match natural growth patterns.
The difference isn't the technique. It's the planning: facial hair needs different positioning, density, and direction than scalp hair, and the consultation works that out before a single graft moves.

About beard & eyebrow transplant
Can beard hair be used for scalp transplant, and does it look natural?
Yes, beard hair is actually the most popular non-scalp donor source for hair transplants. Beard hair is thicker and longer-lasting than scalp hair, making it an excellent option. Using FUE technique, individual follicles are harvested from the beard and transplanted to the scalp. The hair maintains its original characteristics, so beard hair transplanted to the scalp will be slightly thicker than your original scalp hair. When interspersed with scalp grafts or used strategically, it creates natural-looking density and coverage.
How does eyebrow transplant work and where do the hairs come from?
Eyebrow transplant uses the FUE technique to restore eyebrow density. Individual follicles are harvested from your donor areas — typically the back and sides of your scalp where hair is not sensitive to hormonal changes. Each follicle is then placed with precise angle and direction to match your natural eyebrow growth pattern. Since these transplanted follicles retain the characteristics of where they came from, they continue growing and are not affected by the factors that caused your eyebrow loss.
How does FUE differ from the strip method (FUT)?
FUE uses a circular punch (≤0.9mm) to extract individual follicles one at a time, leaving small dot-like scars scattered between remaining hair that aren't directly visible. The strip method removes a 1-1.5cm wide strip from the back of your head, leaving a linear scar that's covered when you wear your hair long. Dr. Arora is equally skilled in both techniques and selects the right approach for each patient based on your specific case - a competent transplant surgeon must be well versed in both methods.
Will my transplanted eyebrow hairs grow too long like scalp hair?
Yes, transplanted eyebrow hairs will grow longer than natural eyebrow hair since they come from your scalp. You'll need to trim them regularly — typically every 2-3 weeks — to maintain the proper eyebrow length and shape. This is a normal part of maintenance. Some patients find this manageable with small scissors, while others prefer regular visits to their aesthetician or barber for precise trimming.
How many grafts can I realistically get in one FUE session?
A typical FUE session involves 3,000-3,500 grafts. Your total scalp can provide 3,000-7,500 grafts across 2-3 sittings. More grafts should be spread over successive days or months apart because placing too many too close together interferes with capillary perfusion and blood supply, leading to poor healing and graft loss. Promising a large number of grafts in a single sitting is unrealistic and risks compromising your result. We prioritize quality and survival over quantity.
How many grafts can I get from my beard area?
The beard area can provide a significant number of grafts as an additional donor source beyond your scalp. The exact number varies based on your individual beard density and growth pattern, which is assessed during your trichoscopic evaluation. Beard grafts are typically harvested using smaller punches (≤0.9mm) to minimize scarring and ensure proper healing. Like scalp transplants, 3-4 hairs are left behind for every one taken, so your beard appearance remains unchanged after healing.
